Professional Experience:
In my 30 years experience, I have served as a Drilling and Blasting Foreman, Lead Drilling and Blasting Foreman, Pit Foreman, Mine Superintendent, Mine Manager, Division Manager of Drilling and Blasting, and General Manager. I have worked in surface operations in 5 states and have worked in operations and management in surface and underground mining complexes in 2 states. I have experience in management at different levels in both union represented and nonunion operations. My experience covers large surface operations in the Mid-West and cross ridge mining in Appalacia, as well as smaller contour mining operations. I have been involved in planning, budgeting, and operating mines with large stripping shovels, draglines, truck and shovel, loader and shovel, dozer strip, high wall miners, and augers. In reclamation operations, I have been involved in planning, executing designs, and supervising construction of several valley fill projects including sediment pond construction, underdrain and sediment control structure, fill and groin ditch construction, and certification, as well as slope work, reforestation, and stream restoration projects.
